TC2 - The new landscape of Wellesley College

The old gothic style of the Wellesley campus has been enriched and enlivened with an entirely new aesthetic
sensibility. This tour examines the landscape design of Michael van Valkenburgh Associates: the Wang Student
Center by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects; the Davis Art Museum by Moneo and Payette attached to the Jewett
Art Center by Paul Rudolph; and the cutting-edge science building by Perry Dean Rogers Partners. All three
buildings were the recipients of the prestigious Harleston Parker Medal for Excellence. Led by Andrew Gutterman.

TC5 - Exploring the ICA

Designed by architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro in partnership with Perry Dean Rogers Partners, the new Institute
of Contemporary Art in Boston extends its bold cantilevered presence over the water's edge. Senior staff members
of Perry Dean Rogers provide an insider's view of one of Boston's most inspiring new buildings. Led by Henry
Scollard, Martha Pilgreen AIA and Greg Burchard.
TC6 - Artist space tour

The long-established artist community of Boston’s Fort Point Channel district has preserved and transformed
19thcentury warehouses into innovative live/work space, gallery space and performance space. This tour focuses
on the largest and most recent project, Midway Studios, which was developed by the Fort Point Cultural
Coalition and Keen Development Corporation. Artists join us, sharing their spaces, their work, and their
perspectives on how artists play a vital role in community development. Led by Anita Lauricella, Fort Point
Cultural Coalition, Boston, and Cheryl Tougias RA, LEED AP, Spalding Tougias Architects, Boston.
